Salmon

Since this is a blog about food, I figured it would not be a bad idea to make the first real post about my old friend salmon. I had eight 5 ounce pieces that had all the skin and bones removed. I rubbed them down with lemon juice and EVO and set to work preparing the main players that would send this salmon into flavour country. I sliced up some shallots, minced some garlic and ground up a mixture of fresh basil and rosemary. I salt and peppered the salmon, threw on some paprika and rubbed them down with the rosemary/basil combo. I then tossed on the shallots and garlic and made sure that everyone felt comfortable before their big day. I threw it all into a 400 degree oven for about 12-14 minutes. It was absolutely fantastic, and would recommend it to everyone who reads this blog (so far just myself, and I certainly think it is a fantastic recommendation).

Got a suggestion? Did something confuse you? Or maybe life has just got you down? If the first two apply to you, then send me an email or leave me a comment (for those of you who are feeling down, seek professional help or gorge yourself on a tub of ice cream, whatever is cheaper).

Enjoy the weekend,

Davey

Welcome to the Show

This is not the first blog I have ever had. I started one many years ago that was dedicated to the awesome game of bridge. Unfortunately, the blog was less than popular (perhaps the label "loser blog" is appropriate). Fortunately for all of my fans, this blog is sure to be better. I would like to focus on food, and other random thoughts that I feel the public should be made aware of. Please feel free to email me or make any comments regarding my posts. However, if they are filled with nothing but hate and anger (perhaps about the creme brule that could have been), at least try and make it constructive (calling me a douche or "shit eater" is all fun and games until someone gets cholera). Now that we have the ground rules laid out, let the fun begin.
